Seat at the table in poker

Poker is a game with strict rules where the course of bets is determined. Participants act strictly clockwise according to their positions. For example, “UnderTheGun” (UTG-1) makes the first bet at the pre-flop stage, before the dealing of the community cards. The 6-max, 8-max and 9-max tables are named according to the number of positions they contain.

A position on a 6-max short poker table is designed for a three- or six-player Hold’em poker game. Its structure is as follows:

Players act in reverse order. UTG (pre-flop) or SB (post-flop) start. SB and BB make mandatory contributions at the beginning of each hand:

1. The Small Blind or SB – half of a fixed amount, e.g. $5.

2. The big blind or BB is one hundred percent of a fixed amount, e.g. ten dollars.

Positions in ascending order in Hold’em poker at a 6-max table: 1. Points. Big and Small. They act first on the postflop, and they need to make a mandatory bet before the cards are dealt.

2. Early Under the Gun (UTG). Acts after the blinds on the preflop. Best position, but you need to be careful. UTG cannot observe the opponents’ actions and acts only based on the strength of his pocket pair.

3. Medium MP (middle position) or HJ (Hijack). In poker at a 6-max table, the highjack position allows you to see the actions of one player, UTG, at the pre-flop stage. If SB, BB and UTG remain in the hand, HJ follows them on post-flop.

4. Late CO (cutoff) and BTN (button). The best positions in poker Players are in last place. There is a Dealer chip (D) near the batton, which indicates that the table’s betting circle has reached its end.

After each hand, positions are shifted clockwise by one to the side. The Dealer chip moves with them: the former Small Blind becomes the Button.

In poker at the table, there are two categories of positions:

1. Approximate Place at the table does not always decide. For example, players in early and middle positions dropped their cards preflop. An “early” poker player will be the first to highjack after the postflop.

2. full Position throughout the entire hand, regardless of the order of action changed by the discarded cards.

There are two types of relative positions. A player has the following options on 6-max, 8-max, and 9-max tables: 1. Condition. He is the last to make a decision. Button always plays in position preflop. If he resets his cards, the cat-off 2 replaces them. Out of order. He makes the first priority decision. UTG plays preflop when there is no position. Button cannot play postflop without it.
